The grip on this gun is amazing. It features the Hogue Tamer Monogrip, which is a rubber-like grip that gives the user a firm and steady grip on the gun. This is exactly what you want in a concealed carry and concealment gun. If anything, how careful you have to be with the handle - it's not unusual to have a handle on your clothes when you pull it off.
This trigger has a slight "click" before it resets. You must fully release the trigger and miss a live round to fire another round. If you're not used to it, the gun is a little hard to fire quickly, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker for you, since that's not what the gun is for. It's also a minor hiccup that you can get used to after a few rounds.
Revolvers do not accept magazines, so you must reload the gun by inserting each bullet one at a time. It's a little creepy, but it's not a gun you should be carrying as your primary weapon. The difficulty of reloading makes the gun great for storage or as a backup weapon.

The LCR weighs in at 13.5 ounces, which makes sense since "Light" is in its name. Plus, it's only 6.5 inches long and 4.5 inches tall. The weapon is light in many respects due to the fact that it is made of aluminum and polymer. LCR has a minimalist feel. It's not flashy or anything, but it does what it's supposed to. In addition, the barrel is 1.87 inches of the firearm.
The LCR has quite a bit of recoil for a gun of its size, so you have to keep that in mind when using it. That said, Ruger Hogue took this into account when fitting the Tamer Monogrip to the grip. Sure, there's a shock, but it's not something that will blow your mind. Many new shooters also like it because it is easy to use. This is part of what makes a revolver so good for concealed carry and storage.
Whether you decide to go with the LCR or the LCRx (three inches larger), this gun costs $579. It's a little more expensive than your average revolver, but it's a high-quality firearm with a proven track record. There's a reason you have to pay for it. This weapon is one of the best of its kind. I wouldn't buy it to prove superior marksmanship or as a centerpiece for a hunting trip, but for concealed carry or as a storage/backup gun I wouldn't recommend anything else. Of course, there are other options like the Colt King Cobra or the aforementioned S&W 380, but simply put, the LCR is a high quality, durable gun.
